Happy Volunteers Day

Updated: Jun 2, 2020

Happy Volunteers Day (1-7 June 2020) to all volunteers and my volunteering friends I have worked with pre-lockdown as well as friends whom I'm still working with since lockdown. From designing, marketing, baking, cooking, food assembling, delivery, washing to cleaning, I might even missed out some but you lovely people got it all covered in the social mission events and Gold of Syria! It is never a one-man show so any success is attributed to a group of amazing people working together. You are all so appreciated and I look forward to the day we can volunteer and work together again side by side.

Growing up in a multi racial country (Malaysia), the value of diversity is ingrained in my life wherever I am and it is incorporated as part of my business values and vision. Working in a diverse environment enables us to learn about one another's culture, food, language, skills, respect, unity in diversity and peace. Every individual regardless of background and social status matters because each one has been made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and everyone is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). No one human being's life is higher than another in this world. We are all equally loved by God.

Pre-lockdown

All these lovely bakes and contributions by volunteers to families and individuals experiencing homelessness during this lockdown period (March - June 2020). The recipients appreciate them so much especially in this difficult time where they can witness kindness, compassion, love and goodness being demonstrated by the general public.
