Acrylamide


This mouthful word "acrylamide"  which is a natural by-product or substance that exist in certain starchy food and is formed when those food are cooked at high temperature of 120 degrees celcius and above. Scientists have proven that acrylamide in food causes cancer in animals and hence it is recommended that human consumption of these food are reduced. Alternatively, those food can be prepared by cooking on low temperature for slightly longer if needed or aim for golden brown colour when frying. We do not offer many deep-fried items for health reasons but when we do, we make sure we prepare the food according to the recommended food industry guidelines. Whatever we eat, the key is to eat in moderate quantity and ensure a balanced diet.
