2019 Christmas Reflection
Christmas can be a time of excitement for many, children especially, as they receive abundant gifts.
For adults, many may look forward to feasting, drinking, family get-together and be merry.
Businesses and stores are chaotic and busy as it becomes a commercial opportunity. Parties! Parties! Parties!
For some, it may be a time of loneliness and grievance.
It's no doubt a mixture of emotions, if we focus inwards when meaning of Christmas is all overridden. If we keep thinking about what we should deserve and how we should be served, we would never come to a state of gratefulness.
But in truth, regardless of our feelings and circumstances, it's a season of reflection on why Christ chose to come to earth to become human and to dwell among us sinners.
Because He first loves us, He came to show He is the way of life and hope and hence, He is the greatest gift we could ever been given.
It's all about Christ, because without him there will be no Christmas.
Therefore, Christmas is an opportunity to bless others and spread the story of hope and peace as we look outwards.
John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Have a Blessed Christmas.
